Put the information a nurse recruiter needs near the top: your contact details, the role you want, your relevant experience and the status of credentials the job requires. Use the posting’s language where it accurately describes your work.

Sample objective for a new grad
“New graduate RN seeking a medical-surgical residency. Clinical placements in adult inpatient care strengthened my interest in discharge education and communication across shifts.” If your license is pending, state its actual status clearly.
Improve an experience bullet
“Assisted with orientation” gives the reader little to ask about. Try “Demonstrated the unit’s handoff process to newly assigned staff and shared recurring questions with the preceptor.” Add numbers only if you can explain their source and meaning.
Tailor the résumé to the role before sending it with a cover letter.
